Jürgen Klopp has taken on a new role at Liverpool just months after being succeeded by Arne Slot as manager.
Klopp departed Liverpool at the end of the season after nine successful years, during which he won the Premier League, the Champions League, and several domestic cups. His final season saw Liverpool secure the Carabao Cup but fall short of an unprecedented quadruple, ending his tenure with a memorable 2-0 victory over Wolves.
After his last game, Klopp helped raise £40,000 for the LFC Foundation by signing various unique items.

The 57-year-old will remain connected to the club as the honorary ambassador for the LFC Foundation, the club’s official charity. Klopp expressed his pride in continuing his association with the foundation, stating, “The LFC Foundation does an incredible job in the community, both in the Liverpool City Region and beyond. I am really proud to continue my work with them and be named the first-ever LFC Foundation honorary ambassador. I look forward to seeing what we can achieve now that I have more time.”
Matt Parish, CEO of the LFC Foundation, welcomed Klopp’s new role, saying, “We’re delighted Jurgen is continuing his support as our first honorary ambassador. His support has been invaluable, and it’s fantastic to see his commitment to our work in the Liverpool city region continue.”
This announcement follows Klopp’s recent decision to turn down an offer from US Soccer to coach the men’s national team, after Gregg Berhalter’s departure earlier in the week.
