“It’s a tough draw with Nigeria again, and we also face Rwanda, whom we know well and respect,” Rohr stated on the Benin Football Federation’s official website. “Libya also poses a challenge, especially away from home.”
Meanwhile, Rwanda’s head coach, Torsten Frank Spitller, expressed mixed feelings about being grouped with Nigeria and Benin.
“It’s somewhat unfortunate to meet Nigeria and Benin again after our encounters in the World Cup qualifiers,” Spitller commented on the Rwanda Football Federation’s official website. “However, this is the draw we have, and we will prepare accordingly.”
The AFCON 2025 qualifiers are set to commence in September.
