Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has urged Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams to opt for Chelsea over Barcelona. The London club has shown interest in the Athletic Bilbao star, with Cucurella acknowledging Barcelona’s interest as well.
Speaking at his Euros press conference, Cucurella advised Williams not to hesitate to join Chelsea this summer, stating, “He would be a fantastic signing for Barcelona, but ultimately, it’s his decision. I’ve been encouraging him to choose Chelsea. It’s all up to him; he’s young but already has a lot of experience. I believe he has the potential to become a great player.”
Cucurella also shared his thoughts on Barcelona’s young talent Lamine Yamal, praising his agility and decision-making on the field. He highlighted Yamal’s unpredictability as a challenge for defenders, emphasizing, “He never repeats the same move, which makes him very difficult to defend against.”
