“Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has responded to his penalty miss in their victory over Slovenia at Euro 2024.

The Al Nassr forward shared his thoughts after Jan Oblak saved a crucial penalty that could have avoided the match going into a penalty shootout.

Ronaldo missed an opportunity to put his team ahead after Slovenia conceded a penalty in the 105th minute.

Speaking at the post-match press conference with Sport TV, Ronaldo said,

“Unexplainable moments, eight and eighty, that’s what happened today.

“I need to review it, I’m not sure if I shot well or poorly.”

The 39-year-old also reminded fans that this was his first miss of the year.

“I didn’t miss once throughout the year and when they needed it most, Oblak saved.”
