Nigeria’s Sports Minister, John Enoh, has commented on Napoli forward Victor Osimhen’s recent outburst towards former Super Eagles head coach Finidi George on social media.
Enoh disclosed that he instructed the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) not to issue any statements regarding the incident. He also indicated that he directed the NFF to communicate directly with Osimhen before making any decisions.
“There has been widespread discussion on this issue,” he stated on Eagle7 FM Radio. “Osimhen is a strong figure for Nigeria, but his actions were disappointing.”

“I advised the NFF not to respond publicly until they had spoken with Osimhen,” Enoh continued. “Especially now, with challenges facing Nigerian football, we need to handle matters carefully.”
“The NFF needs to maintain focus and avoid distractions.”
