Arsenal’s dreams of competing in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup were dashed following their elimination from the Champions League, courtesy of a 1-0 defeat against Bayern Munich.
Mikel Arteta’s squad experienced disappointment in Germany, losing 3-2 on aggregate to the Bundesliga side, thus ending their aspirations for European glory. Their departure from the tournament also signifies their inability to secure a spot in the Club World Cup in the United States.

With only two teams per country eligible, Arsenal’s exit from the Champions League opens up an opportunity for Red Bull Salzburg, who have participated in 26 Champions League matches over the past four seasons.
Although Arsenal came close to European success in Germany, maintaining a deadlock until Joshua Kimmich’s 63rd-minute goal secured Bayern’s place in the semi-finals, the Gunners must now focus on their pursuit of Premier League honors.
