While Carragher initially commended Palmer for his remarkable display against Everton, suggesting he was a strong candidate for the Young Player of the Year award, he now contends that Palmer should also be considered for the top honor.
Expressing his viewpoint on Twitter through his X account, Carragher pondered, “Cole Palmer was a sure bet for YPOTY, but how close is he to POTY now?”
Palmer finds himself tied with Manchester City’s Erling Haaland in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot, both boasting 20 goals to their credit.
