Watford striker Troy Deeney has put forward a suggestion regarding who could potentially succeed Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Klopp, who announced his decision to take a sabbatical in January, will depart Anfield at the end of the season, following a highly successful nine-year tenure with Liverpool. Consequently, Liverpool has been on the lookout for his replacement.
During an interview with talkSPORT, Deeney mentioned Gary O’Neil as a possible candidate for the managerial role at Liverpool once Klopp departs.

Deeney emphasized the importance of inheriting a squad accustomed to winning, comprising international players. He suggested that Liverpool might benefit from having a coach rather than a traditional manager next season, and thus proposed Gary O’Neil for the role.
Currently serving as the head coach of Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers, O’Neil emerges as an intriguing potential candidate for the position at Anfield.
