Reflecting on his experience, Messi shared his sentiments on the Big-Time podcast, stating, “The change was difficult when I went to PSG because I was thriving at Barcelona, and my intention was to remain there.”

He continued, “I wasn’t mentally prepared to depart; everything unfolded rapidly, and I had to reconstruct my life from one day to the next. I had to acquaint myself with a different league, a different club, and a new dressing room. It was an unexpected change, making it challenging initially.”
