Nantes, a Ligue 1 club, has announced that their Nigerian winger Moses Simon will be out of action for the remainder of the season.
Simon sustained an injury during Nigeria’s 2-0 friendly loss to Mali in Marrakech on Tuesday night, requiring stretcher assistance after colliding with the Malian goalkeeper in the first half.
The 28-year-old was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment, where it was confirmed that he had suffered a serious injury. Nantes has confirmed that Simon has a broken fibula, necessitating his absence for the rest of the 2023/24 season.
