A report suggests that Johan Bakayoko, the winger for PSV Eindhoven, is a prime target for the Premier League’s top clubs as the summer transfer window approaches.
At just 20 years old, Bakayoko has showcased his talent with eight goals and 13 assists this season, earning him a place in the Belgium national team and attracting interest from major European sides.
Earlier in the season, Brentford expressed strong interest in Bakayoko and attempted to secure his signature as their club-record signing. However, their efforts were thwarted by PSV’s valuation, with the Dutch club seeking a higher fee.

According to Sky Germany, Brentford made a €40m (£34m) bid for Bakayoko in January, but PSV is holding out for a fee between €50m-€60m (£43m-£51m) to part ways with the talented winger.
The competition for Bakayoko’s services is expected to intensify in the summer, with Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City all vying for his signature. Additionally, clubs in mainland Europe, such as Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain, have also expressed interest.
Despite interest from several clubs, Bakayoko indicated last summer that he would not have joined Brentford, even for €100m, as he wanted to gauge PSV’s progress in the Champions League. However, with PSV’s European campaign now concluded, Bakayoko is poised for a potential move away from the club.
