Manchester United’s minority owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, recently stated that he would prefer to see Arsenal clinch the Premier League title this season over Manchester City and Liverpool.
Ratcliffe, alongside INEOS, finalized the acquisition of a 27.7% stake in United in February, signifying their assumption of control over all football operations at Old Trafford from the Glazer family. However, bridging the gap between United and the top three teams in the league presents a significant challenge.
With just one point separating Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City and only 10 fixtures remaining, this season’s title race is unprecedentedly tight.

During an appearance on the Geraint Thomas Cycling Club podcast, Ratcliffe hesitated to declare a favorite among the top contenders, stating that he detests them all. However, when pressed by Thomas, he conceded that “it would be good” to see Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal emerge victorious. Ratcliffe commended Arsenal’s patience with Arteta over the years, acknowledging his success at the club.
He remarked, “I hate them all! We have Liverpool, Man City, and Arsenal, haven’t you? I don’t know. They are all the enemy; I couldn’t possibly choose one. It would be good for Arteta, actually. He has done really well there. Arsenal have been patient with him, which is nice as well.”
