“I did not submit an application for the Super Eagles coaching position because I am aware of FIFA’s ongoing suspension on me.

“I am unsure where the reports claiming otherwise originated from. It’s simply logical—I cannot be under suspension and simultaneously apply for a job.

“I am well aware that my application would not even be entertained,” stated the coach, who secured a silver medal with Nigeria’s Olympic team at the Beijing Olympics, in his conversation with Completesports.com.
