Manchester City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, has emphasized that their upcoming Premier League clash against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on March 31 is akin to a “final.”

Currently, Arsenal leads the table with 64 points, narrowly edging out Liverpool in second place on goal difference, while Manchester City trails closely behind in third with 63 points.

Arsenal previously defeated Guardiola’s team to claim the Community Shield in August and secured a 1-0 victory over City when they met at the Emirates Stadium in October. However, City showcased dominance with a 4-1 win at the Etihad last season, a performance Guardiola hopes to replicate.
“We have a final against Arsenal,” Guardiola stated. “But for now, we rest. I don’t want to dwell on the future – the recent period has been intense. With the players heading for international duty, a change of scenery is beneficial; some will have the opportunity to spend time with their families. Upon our return, we’ll have three days to prepare for the Arsenal match. Let’s focus,” Guardiola affirmed.
