Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala has disclosed Lionel Messi of Inter Miami as his football role model.

Expressing his gratitude for Messi’s nomination for the 2023 Kopa Trophy, Musiala, who consistently watches Messi’s games, felt honored. Following the jury’s decision, Musiala secured the second spot, with the Kopa Trophy being awarded annually to the world’s best U-21 player on the same day as the Ballon d’Or.

Speaking to journalist Phillip Kessler, Musiala stated, “I thought that was a big honor. Messi was always my role model growing up, and I admired him for his game.”
