Mikel Arteta has given updates on the injuries of star forwards Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli following Arsenal’s resounding victory over Sheffield United. Despite the team’s impressive 6-0 win on Monday night, concerns arose as both Saka and Martinelli were substituted relatively early in the game, with Saka leaving in the 46th minute and Martinelli in the 64th minute, both due to suspected injuries.

In a post-match press conference, Arteta clarified that both players were dealing with minor issues. Saka was reportedly feeling unwell, and Arteta explained that the decision to substitute him was also influenced by the opportunity to give playing time to Fabio Vieira. Additionally, Martinelli had a slight cut on his foot, and the extent of his injury will be assessed.

Arteta also addressed the return of midfielder Thomas Partey, who played 25 minutes in the match, marking his first appearance since early October. The manager emphasized the need for Partey to gradually build up his playing time after a four-month absence.
