Four alleged kidnappers have been taken into custody by Edo State Police Command agents in Kano after they obtained a ransom from their victim in the state.
The suspects, Aminu Sadio, 24, Adamu Abubakar, 30, and Adamu Tahir, 30, were detained in Kano State despite allegations that they had abducted their victims in Fugar, Etsako West Local Government Area, Edo State.
The suspect was taken into custody by the command’s Anti-kidnapping and Cyber Crime Unit while they were looking into a kidnapping case, according to SP Chidi Nwabuzor, the command’s spokeswoman.

According to him, on January 23, four people were abducted in Fugar, Edo State, and the kidnappers allegedly tried to extract a ransom through Union Bank and Moniepoint, respectively. This information was reported to the police.

Nwabuzor added that Aminu Sadio and Umar Aminu, the proprietors of the two accounts that were the target of the ransom, were taken into custody by the police through an intelligence-based inquiry.
He said that two collaborators in the kidnapping case, Adamu Abubakar and Adamu Tahir, had also been taken into custody by the police.
According to the PPRO, “Four suspected kidnappers were apprehended in Kano by Edo State Police Command officers following their ransom collection from Edo State victims.”
