Oba Adebayo Fatoba, the Alara of Ara Ikole-Ekiti, was able to flee in the interim.
“We shall deeply mourn the passing of Kabiyesi. However, in honor of him, we are pleading with the state government to finish the Imojo Palace project, which he started, so that we can christen it in his honor and make him eternal.
The chief stated, “I don’t think it would take Kabiesi up to a year to become a professor.”
Dada described the death of the king as excruciating, noting that the late traditional leader initiated a number of community development projects.
