Four traditional rulers—Ohimege Igu, Konto-Nkarfe, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Koto, and one first-class traditional ruler—have been overthrown by the Kogi State Government.
After that, Koto was exiled to Niger State’s Rijau Local Government Area.

The Lokoja/Kogi Local Government Area Traditional Council Chairman, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isah Koto, the Ohimege-Igu Koton-Karfe, is officially dismissed and to be deposed to the Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State.
“The Olu Magongo of Magongo, His Royal Highness Sam Bola Ojoa, is to be ousted and taken to Salka, Magama Local Government Area, Niger State.
“The Obobanyi of Emani, His Royal Highness Samuel Adayi Onimisi, is being removed and will be ousted at Doko, Lavun Local Government Area, Niger State.
Similar to decision No. 3, which upgraded the stool to first class status and included the title “Obobanyi of Ihima” on the promotion letter, was made without taking into account the fact that the title is the subject of litigation and that the court of law has not yet reached a possible final decision. Nevertheless, the government has received several petitions alerting it to the necessity of maintaining the status quo and reverting to it until the court of law makes a decision.
In light of this, the current occupant of the stool is hereby removed and reverted to “Obobanyi of Ihima.”

The governor went on to say that some judgments were made on certain seats following appropriate government action to address the ongoing disputes that have dogged the selection process.
The government now announces the appointments of the upcoming occupants, he continued.
“The Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir, is hereby appointed.”
Alhaji Dauda Isah is officially named the Kupa Maiyaki.
As per the Odaki Ruling House’s selection decision dated 27/4/2012 and the Lokoja/Kogi Local Government Area Traditional Council’s endorsement dated 14/5/2012, Mallam Saidu Akawo Salihu has been appointed as the Ohimege-Igu Koton-Karfe. It is imperative that he turbans immediately to prevent any vacancy.
“In light of the 1998 high court ruling that fully recognizes Ododo as the legitimate offspring of Ita’azi, the father of Ebira land, and Uhuodo as a separate district within Ebira land with equal rights as others, the Ohi stool of Uhuodo is hereby established, and the procedures for occupying the stool will start immediately.”
