Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, has referred to 2024 as a “year of changing the gears of development” for both the state and the nation as a whole.
Thus, he emphasized the importance of cooperation and solidarity among the state’s citizens.
During his New Year’s speech on Monday at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia, Soludo discussed the obstacles that the nation and the state would face in 2023 and expressed hope for the future.

The governor praised the state’s citizens’ tenacity, recognizing everyone’s sacrifices and asking for God’s favor.
He said, “We have noted the state’s efforts in implementing measures to address challenges in the past year.
“The Year 2024 is critical and pivotal in accelerating change by government at all levels. We emphasised a need for unity and collaboration among Ndi Anambra and Nigerians alike.
