A collision on the Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode Road on Saturday resulted in the death of a tow truck driver and the injury of four other people.
PUNCH Online learned that the collision happened in the vicinity of Ajede Junction, Ogun State, at about 11:40 a.m.
Three males and three women were involved in the collision, which was confirmed by the Federal Road Safety Corps.

The FRSC spokesman for Ogun State, Florence Okpe, stated in a statement that “four persons were injured and unfortunately, one person died.”
Okpe revealed that a tow truck with the license plate BDG733GH was struck by a Toyota Sienna bearing the number plate FKJ551FE.
The car was allegedly positioned on the shoulder of the road by the tow driver, who perished in the collision.
According to Okpe, “excessive speed is suspected to have caused the crash, resulting in a loss of control and a collision with the towing vehicle parked on the hard shoulder of the road, killing the driver of the towing vehicle.”
The statement went on to say that the rescue effort was conducted by the FRSC, police, and other responders.
The dead was placed in the General Hospital morgue in Ijebu-Ode, while the injured victims were sent to Ronna Hospital in Ijebu-Ode, it was reported.
Thus, the FRSC’s state leadership counseled drivers to observe basic traffic laws and give other road users consideration.
According to PUNCH Online, a vehicle purportedly owned by the Dangote group crushed and killed an unidentified woman in Ogun State on Thursday.
The Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway passes through Dalemo-Ota, where the event took place.
The woman was crushed by the vehicle when she was standing on the side of the road, according to a statement released by the FRSC on Friday.
Okpe said that “a Dangote truck was involved in a crash that happened at approximately 2300 hours on Thursday night.” The vehicle has the XA354WDP mark.
The Dangote truck’s technical malfunction (break failure) and high speed are thought to have contributed to the tragic collision. The truck then struck an adult female bystander on the roadside, killing her instantly.
