The eighth Speaker of the House of Representatives, who was born on September 27, 1958, passed away early on Wednesday in Abuja.
Family reports claim that the late Na’Abba fought his illness for a considerable amount of time before passing away.

He once had medical treatment via air travel, spending several months overseas before making his way back to Nigeria.
The sources claimed that the former Speaker’s bones would be interred in Abuja today in accordance with Islamic customs.
After joining the Peoples Democratic Party, the late Na’Abba ran as the party’s candidate for the Kano Municipal Federal Constituency, a post he was successful in winning in the general elections held in April 1999.
Following the political upheaval that resulted in Salisu Buhari, the first Speaker of the Fourth Republic, resigning, he went on to become Speaker of the House of Representatives.
He studied political science at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, where he received his degree in 1979.
