The state police command stated that Azeez Ijaduade, a Nollywood actor and director, was hit by a shot that was inadvertently fired by a police officer on Sunday, notwithstanding a claim that he was shot in Iperu Remo, Ogun State.

Remember that on Sunday, Abiodun Adebanjo, Ijaduade’s colleague, revealed the news of Ijaduade being shot by a trigger-happy policeman on his Instagram handle, @iamabiodunadebanjo.

Right now, Babcock University Teaching Hospital is where he is.

Anyone who knows the Commissioner or Police IG’s contacts should get in touch.

However, in an exclusive interview with PUNCH Online on Sunday morning, state Police Public Relations Officer Omolola Odutola stated that one of their officers, who was attached to Bramajaj Company Limited executives Ogere Remo, “accidentally discharged a shot from his rifle” during the company’s end-of-year party at a hotel in Iperu.

At the same hotel, Ijaduade, his team, and other performers were reportedly filming a scene when the shot struck the Nollywood star in the neck.

The actor was taken to the hospital and is reportedly responding to treatment there, according to police.

According to Odutola, “the victim’s condition is stable right now.”
