Arsenal icon Ian Wright has expressed his apprehension over the Gunners’ performance decline in the second half of their 2-1 Premier League victory against Wolves at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Arsenal dominated the initial 45 minutes, securing a deserved lead with goals from Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard. However, Mikel Arteta’s team eased off in the second half, and Matheus Cunha seized on Oleksandr Zinchenko’s error to score for Wolves in the 86th minute, setting the stage for a tense finish.
Speaking on Premier League Productions, Wright remarked, “A bit nervy at the end. You’d expect that from Wolves. I think, getting down to that stage of the game, they had to throw some caution to the wind, and to be fair to them, they put us under a bit of pressure and got the goal.”

He continued, “Again, it comes down to concentration. I think Zinchenko has to put his foot through that. But I thought we did enough to win the game. Second half, it is fair to say it was a bit back to the wall; the work was done in the first half.”
