The finalists for the Women’s Player of the Year award include Super Falcons’ World Cup heroes Chiamaka Nnadozie and Asisat Oshoala, with the latter being a five-time African Player of the Year, as hailed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Reportedly, Oshoala, a key player for Barcelona Femeni, is in contention for the prestigious award alongside Nnadozie. Oshoala notably contributed to Barcelona Femeni’s second UEFA Women’s Champions League title in three years and holds the distinction of being the first African player to score in three consecutive FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments.
