Manchester United duo Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen have both been compelled to withdraw from the Denmark squad for the current international break.
Currently occupying the second spot in their Euro 2024 qualifying group, Denmark is set to face group leaders Slovenia and the already eliminated Northern Ireland, with a potential spot in the final tournament at stake.
Denmark can secure their place in Germany next summer with one more victory in the final two games or if Kazakhstan drops points against either San Marino or Slovenia. However, they will have to navigate the last two qualifiers without the services of Hojlund and Eriksen.

To fill the void, national team manager Kasper Hjulmand has called up Napoli midfielder Jesper Lindstrom and Trabzonspor defender Jens Stryger Larsen as replacements.
Hojlund did not complete Manchester United’s narrow Premier League victory over Luton Town on Saturday, leaving the game with a little over ten minutes left due to concerns with his right leg. Meanwhile, Eriksen exited just before half-time, seemingly nursing a knee injury.
Hojlund is still awaiting his inaugural Premier League goal but has swiftly endeared himself to fans since his £72m summer transfer from Atalanta. He has showcased a prolific record in the Champions League, most notably scoring twice in a thrilling 4-3 defeat against his former club, Copenhagen.
The 20-year-old had to exercise patience for his debut with Manchester United earlier in the campaign due to a back problem sustained before his move from Italian football. Despite facing challenges in consistent service, his leadership on the front line has demonstrated considerable promise for the future.
After overcoming an ankle issue that sidelined him for a significant portion of the previous season, Eriksen had managed to steer clear of injuries until now. The 31-year-old has commenced six Premier League games, including the last three consecutively, as part of his 15 appearances in all competitions this season.
