According to the government of Borno State, 124,000 insurgent victims who were deemed vulnerable have been enrolled in the healthcare system in some of the state’s most remote local government areas.
Over the weekend, Dr. Saleh Abba, the executive secretary of the Borno State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (BOSCHMA), revealed this to reporters in Maiduguri.
According to Dr. Saleh, the agency wanted to enroll 250,000 individuals who were at risk due to the hostilities.

He emphasised that the programme puts the health of the participants first, making sure that every Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) gets the financing that is specific to their requirements, particularly in the difficult-to-reach Lake Chad villages.”It became very clear how much these rural towns needed basic services like markets, schools, healthcare, food, water, and shelter as we traveled deeper into them.

Since many of our citizens lack access to high-quality, reasonably priced healthcare, the state has registered 124,000 disadvantaged individuals for free healthcare thus far.
We recently went to the Kukawa LGA’s Baga, Cross Kawwa, and Doro Wards, where we registered 3,000 young people, expectant mothers, and senior citizens for the services.

He explained that the growth and revitalization of these once-devastated communities requires cooperation between the government and its citizens. To restore health facilities in their various constituencies, they need to work together.
