Despite his limited playing time at the club since his £45 million move in July 2022, the 27-year-old has continued to enjoy the confidence of England manager Gareth Southgate. He was a starter in the Euro 2024 qualifier against Italy on Tuesday, as the Three Lions secured a 3-1 victory and sealed their spot at next summer’s tournament with two games to spare.
