Yakubu married Yvonne Lameen Ikhana in 2008, the daughter of former Nigerian international player Kadiri Ikhana, who is also the father-in-law of Patrick Ovie, another former Nigerian international footballer. Kayla and Katriel, their two lovely kids, are the fruit of their union.
