The hunt for a left-back by Manchester United is nearly concluded, according to a report from The Athletic. They are about to finalize the loan agreement for Reguilon, who successfully underwent a medical on Thursday. The arrangement will last for the entire season without an option for a permanent signing, and United could potentially conclude the loan in January.

United have reportedly been tracking Reguilon — who hasn’t yet featured for Tottenham this season — for a while. They were reported to be lining up a shock loan bid for Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella earlier this week after seeing Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia ruled out through injury. United are desperate to get a left-back through the door before the window shuts, and Reguilon, who spent last season on loan at Atletico Madrid, looks set to fill the spot.

Erik ten Hag’s team face Arsenal in a huge Premier League clash this Sunday, and with the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martilleni capable of terrorising any full-back in the league, the coach will hope to have Reguilon available.
