Hollywood actor, Damson Idris, has joined the Nollywood business to pay tribute to Nigerian comic actor and comedian Baba Suwe.
After fighting an unexplained illness, the humorous actor who dominated the Yoruba movie business for decades as an actor and producer died today, November 22nd.
Mr Latin, the president of the Nigerian Theatre Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association, confirmed his death in an interview with PUNCH, saying, “It has been established that Baba Suwe is dead.” I recently spoke with his son, who confirmed that the actor is no longer alive. I don’t have a lot of information about his death.”

Damson Idris paid tribute to Baba Suwe in a post on the microblogging platform, calling him as an icon who first taught him humor.
A video of Nollywood star Baba Suwe crying uncontrollably when Yomi Fabiyi did something unexpected to him on his birthday surfaced a few months ago.
The funny actor, who was clearly taken off guard by his birthday serenade in the video, couldn’t disguise his feelings and decided to cry tears of pleasure.
In February, it was revealed that Baba Suwe’s health was deteriorating.
Baba Suwe confirmed his health problems in an interview at the time, lamenting his deteriorating health.
He confirmed that he was walking with the aid of a stick.
Baba Suwe was subsequently admitted at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
The admission was facilitated by the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) with the assistance of the Federal Ministry of Health.
