Babatunde Fashola, the Minister of Works and Housing, has informed Nigerians to expect an update from the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on whether he will run for president in 2023 or not next January.

Tinubu has regularly been connected to succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari, with his banners and billboards appearing in major towns across Nigeria.

“I saw him (Tinubu) last week, he didn’t tell me he is running for office and to the best of my knowledge, the last remark he made on it is that people will know in January,” Fashola said of Tinubu’s rumored 2023 presidential attempt.

Fashola also claimed he has not asked Tinubu if he is interested in running for President in 2023.

“No, I didn’t ask him; I just went to see how he was. He said in a statement, “I will talk in January, so let us wait until January.”
