Victor Osimhen embarked on his football journey with the local club Ultimate Strikers Academy, and his talent quickly shone through. He played a pivotal role in leading Nigeria to victory in the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, where he showcased his skills by scoring an impressive 10 goals during the tournament.

His performances caught the attention of VfL Wolfsburg, and he secured a move to the German club. After spending two seasons there, Osimhen made a transfer to Belgian side Charleroi.

In 2019, Osimhen joined the ranks of French club Lille. However, his time in France was short-lived, as he soon made a significant move to the Italian club Napoli.

Since arriving in Naples, Osimhen has become a true hero, spearheading Napoli’s success and leading them to the coveted Serie A title in his third season. With an exceptional tally of 26 league goals during a remarkable campaign, Osimhen returned to Lagos for a well-deserved vacation.

During his visit to Olusosun, Osimhen reunited with his childhood friends and had the opportunity to meet with local children who aspire to follow in his footsteps. Football Italia reports that these young talents will also require someone to support their dreams, just as Augustina Atanda did for a young Osimhen when he was a child.

It is worth noting that Mrs. Atanda played a crucial role in convincing Osimhen’s father to allow Victor to explore opportunities abroad and pursue a career in football.
