Nigerians Rally to Support Veteran Yoruba Actress Iya Gbonkan Following Plea for Assistance
In a heartwarming response, Nigerians have stepped forward to assist Margaret Bandele Olayinka, affectionately known as Iya Gbonkan, a revered veteran Yoruba actress who recently reached out for help. Last month, Gossipinfo highlighted her plight, revealing that despite her decades-long career in acting, she still did not own a car and relied on public transportation to commute.
Expressing her heartfelt struggles, Iya Gbonkan made a passionate appeal to her fans, urging them to celebrate and support her while she is still alive, rather than waiting until after her passing to engage in extravagant ceremonies. The public response to her call for assistance has been overwhelming, with numerous individuals and organizations coming forward to extend their support and provide the much-needed help she deserves.

“I have been acting for decades yet I don’t have a car. I jump on buses every day. If I die now, you will kill a cow. Celebrate me now that I am alive. I need a car from my fans”.
In an update, the veteran has received millions from Nigerians.
According to a report online, Pastor Gabriel who watched the video had put a call through to her and paid her a visit in Osogbo.
