Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu, has criticised Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for designating three days of mourning for the victims of the Ikoyi building collapse.

Sanwo-Olu was quick to announce three days of mourning for Ikoyi deaths, unlike Lekki toll gate injustice victims, according to Uche Maduagwu’s Instagram post, because he wanted to mask his terrible carelessness on the collapsed building.

Uche Maduagwu asked the Governor to refrain from exaggerating his culpability, claiming that the Ikoyi building collapse could have been prevented if state building authorities had done their jobs properly.

Dear Governor Sir, stop magnifying your NEGLIGENCE with a 3 days mourning declaration, Ikoyi building collapse could have been avoided if relevant State #building tax payers funded authorities had done their jobs properly.

Can someone please explain how a building in a big man area of Gerrard road, #Ikoyi got an alleged approval for 15 floors, yet comfortably erected 21 floors for this 21st century and no #single Lagos building monitoring team checking to making sure they followed building permit regulations and standard for years? But if Na to pursue innocent #Okada riders trying to put #food on the table of dem families now, you go turn monitoring spirit.
