Queen Damilola, one of the wives of Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Alaafin of Oyo, has expressed her sincere regret to the king and the entire royal family for her prior wrongdoing.
Queen Damilola was imprisoned in a cell for reportedly breaking a palace regulation, an act that prompted her to abandon the palace in April 2021 for Lagos.

Damilola became homeless a few days after leaving the place, until some concerned Nigerians decided to donate money to help her find a suitable place to live and restart her life.
However, in a video published by Instagram blogger Gistlovers on May 31, 2021, a guy said that the king routinely delivers meal allowances to queen Dami after she leaves the palace.
The Alaafin allegedly also rented an apartment for Dami’s mother, according to the man. The queen’s ex-wife, on the other hand, has denied the allegations, claiming that she used money donated to her by well-meaning Nigerians to pay for her mother’s rent and her son’s school expenses.
In a conversation with Dami, the blogger asked if she would return to the palace in light of the monarch’s assertions.
She replied that she would not return to bondage because the monarch was merely attempting to exploit her.
In a recent development, Queen Damilola apologized to the monarch in an Instagram post on Sunday, October 31, 2021, and rejected reports that the Oba Adeyemi was neglecting her.
Queen Dami claims that dissatisfaction and certain friends prompted her to leave the palace, adding that some things are not as clear to her as they should be, and she apologizes for dragging the royal family through the dirt.
Queen Damilola pleaded with the royal monarch to forgive her and welcome her back into the palace, promising to reimburse any funds raised during her difficult times.
