Silva has only missed two league games this season, but he has consistently produced Man of the Match performances, proving that he still has the stamina to keep up with the pace of Premier League and Champions League games.

Reports that Silva has consented to sign a one-year extension, keeping him at SW6 until the summer of 2024 and keeping him and his family based in England’s capital.

Silva has played a significant role in Chelsea’s recent mini-revival in form. He assisted Chelsea in victories over Crystal Palace two Sundays ago and a goalless draw at Anfield against Liverpool on Saturday.

Silva will hope he is well rested for Chelsea’s retaliation match against Fulham in eight days, where a win may move the Blues closer to the European spots. Chelsea doesn’t play next until next Friday.
