Erling Haaland, a forward for Manchester City, claims that Riyad Mahrez persuaded him to join the team in 2021 after they met in Mykonos, Greece.

In an interview with CityTV, Haaland described running into Mahrez while on vacation in Mykonos in the summer of 2021. He suggested that I visit City, and the atmosphere there was pleasant, he said.

Haaland is now only two goals behind Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-Min, the 2017 Premier League Golden Boot winners.
