Mykhailo Mudryk, who is a top target for Arsenal, has recently created quite a stir on his Instagram account. This may be yet another indication that a transfer to the Gunners is getting closer.

Before making a new offer for the winger earlier this week, Arsenal had two bids for the 22-year-old rejected by Shakhtar Donetsk, with the second one reportedly valued at £62 million.

Their most recent offer, according to Fabrizio Romano, is estimated to be worth around £62 million plus add-ons. Shortly after the news broke, the Ukrainian posted an Instagram story with the hashtag #prayer.

Mudryk has made multiple indications over the past month and even earlier that he wants to join Arsenal, despite Chelsea’s interest.

Gary Jacob of The Times reported on Friday night that Shakhtar had informally acknowledged that the Mudryk sale would proceed, with the Ukrainian team expected to collect £80 million.

The club suffered a serious setback earlier in the day when they were unsuccessful in their legal battle with FIFA before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

In response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, they argued against a FIFA decision made in March that allowed foreign players to leave the country and have their contracts suspended. They claimed that as a result of the decision, Shakhtar had lost tens of millions of pounds in the transfer market.

Since Mudryk’s arrival appears to be getting closer, supporters have noticed yet another significant cue that a contract is about to be announced.

On Instagram, Mudryk engages with a Gunners player.

As per a post on Reddit, Mudryk now follows Gunners centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes, who is positioned at the top of the Ukrainian player’s ‘following’ list.

The Brazilian player either started the conversation or followed Mudryk in return, as the 22-year-old is also at the top of his “following” list. Although this may not mean much at this point, it has undoubtedly caught the interest of Arsenal supporters.

One of Arsenal’s most important players this season, Gabriel has started every Premier League game at center back with William Saliba.

When they play Tottenham in the north London derby on Sunday, the two are anticipated to stay together.

On January 22, Arsenal will play Manchester United, and according to sources close to Mudryk, who would make his Arsenal debut if he signs, Mudryk is keen to join the team in time for that game.
