While happy about the outcome, the mother of seven bemoaned the fact that they hadn’t received salary since 2020.
On Wednesday, her husband, Mr. Celestine Uzodike, told reporters that although his wife is a lecturer at the university, she hasn’t received payment.
The man bemoaned the fact that his wife had never received a salary of even one kobo, despite the fact that she had been promoted from Assistant Lecturer to Lecturer II.
He begged the FG to assist them because they are unable to cover all of the children’s expenses on their own.
โThe babies came out prematurely at 26th week gestation period and the hospital said they will need to be placed under intensive care unit and each of them will cost N3million. One of them has died, remaining six babies, that is why they billed us like that,โ he said.
His wife added: โAll I want is for philanthropists both in Anambra State and Nigeria at large to come to our aid in other to offset the hospital bill.โ
