1. Keiynan Lonsdale
Keiynan Lonsdale, a talented young actor who has been in Love, Simon and The Flash, is also a musician. Many people are unaware that he is from Nigeria. However, Keiynan is a Nigerian boy.
His parents, an Australian mother of Irish and Danish ancestry and a Nigerian father of Edo ancestry, gave birth to him in Sydney.
2. Cynthia Erivo

You might be surprised to learn that the Hollywood actress Cynthia Erivo, who has appeared in films like The Outsider, Widows, Bad Times at the El Royale, and Harriet, is Nigerian.
South London’s Stockwell is where Nigerian parents gave birth to Cynthia.
3. Skepta
Nigerian-born Skepta, a British rapper, songwriter, and record producer best known for the smash singles “Shutdown” and “That’s Not Me,” was born in Tottenham, North London, to Nigerian parents.
On April 4, 2018, he was sworn in as a chief in Ogun State, his native Nigeria, and was given the chieftaincy title of the Amuludun of Odo-Aje. He goes by Joseph Junior Adenuga in full.
4. Wunmi Mosaku
Wunmi Mosaku, a star of the HBO series Lovecraft Country and numerous other works, is a woman that many people would not know is also from Nigeria.
Wunmi was born in Nigeria to Nigerian parents, but at the age of one, she relocated to Manchester, England.
5. Big Sean
Big Sean shocked fans when in an interview with Vibe Magazine, the rapper said:
I remember one time, My Aunty took Me and My Brother to see Santa Claus and Santa Claus was black, and I was like that’s not Santa Claus, then my grandma said why is that not Santa Claus and I was like because he is black, He was like Super black, you know what I mean like a Nigerian, I am Nigerian, part Nigerian
6. Yvonne Orji
The next lady on the list is Yvonne Orji, an actress, writer, and comedian. Yvonne is a proud Nigerian woman who is maybe most recognised for her role on the television programme Insecure. She was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, but moved to Maryland, USA, where she spent her formative years.
7. Lil Wayne
Rapper Lil Wayne revealed his Nigerian roots on a Drink Champ show on Revolt TV. Lil Wayne remarked:
Salutations to Nigeria My results from 23andme.com revealed that I am roughly 53% Nigerian. Yea! My mother and I need to chat (Laughter). Nigeria is somewhere I’ve never gone. That is the location I’d most like to visit. I had to visit Nigeria… I had to visit that location.
8. Jackie Aina
A well-known YouTuber and expert in beauty is Jackie Aina.
Her parents were a Nigerian father of Yoruba ancestry and an African-American mother.
9. MNEK
The next person on our list is MNEK, a British singer-songwriter best known for the songs “Never Forget You” and “Head and Heart.”
MNEK was born in London to Nigerian parents and goes by the stage name Uzoechi Osisioma “Uzo” Emenike.
10. Kerry Washington
When Kerry Washington wed her husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, she acquired Nigerian citizenship in 2013. Kerry has continued to be a Nigerian citizen by marriage ever since.
11. John Boyega
English actor John Adedayo B. Adegboyega, better known by his stage name John Boyega, is well-known in Hollywood and throughout the world for his roles in the Star Wars sequel trilogy movies The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker. More recently, he made an appearance in The Woman King.
Abigail Aboderin and Samson Adegboyega, two Nigerians, were John Boyega’s parents when he was born in Peckham, London.
12. Ms Banks
The successful tracks “Back It Up” and “Snack” made British rapper, singer, and songwriter Ms Banks, whose actual name is Thyra Oji, famous.
She was born to a mother from Uganda and a father from Nigeria.
13. Meghan Markle
Today, the internet was set abuzz when news that the Duchess of Sussex revealed during a podcast that she was partly Nigerian. Meghan Markle said:
I just had my genealogy done a couple of years ago, I’m 43% Nigerian. I’m going to start to dig deeper into all of this because anyone that I’ve told, especially Nigerian women, are just like, what?
