This follows a substantial fundraising campaign led by Pastor Agbala Gabriel to provide support for the actor.
The controversy arose after Pastor Agbala Gabriel successfully raised a significant sum of money to assist actor Kanran.

The fundraising campaign aimed to offer financial aid to Kanran, a prominent figure renowned for his contributions to the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Nevertheless, Auto Bola’s comments on social media conveyed skepticism regarding Kanran’s living conditions and the necessity of financial assistance, given that funds had been raised for him a few years ago.
In the now-viral post, Auto Bola remarked, “It hasn’t even been three years since people contributed money for you, and you received various beautiful outfits when Kola Olootu invited you to his show. Why does the bedroom you displayed appear so gloomy? You have no disabilities, and you mentioned having children. Put an end to the deception.”
Kanran reveal in another that he had never encountered Pastor Agbala Gabriel in person previously, yet he firmly believes that God conveyed to him the message that they would meet soon, and Gabriel would extend a helping hand to him.
In his words, ‘I have never met Agbala Gabriel in my life but God told me we shall meet very soon and he will help me and I might help him too’
