Before the “saat pheras,” a fight between the bride’s and the groom’s relatives broke out, turning the wedding celebration into a battlefield in the Hisar district of Haryana.
Later, the wedding was called off, so the groom had to go back without his bride. According to reports, individuals from both sides of the conflict suffered significant injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.
The bride’s side allegedly claimed that the groom’s family requested dowry at the time of marriage, according to a Dainik Bhaskar story. The bride’s family allegedly insulted the groom’s side for being late to the shaadi mandap rather than making a dowry demand.

A young man from Hisar’s Rishi Nagar was chosen as the bridegroom for Vinay Kumar’s daughter. The wedding was planned in Hansi’s Mandi Saiyan. The groom and his baraat arrived for the wedding on the wedding day. However, there was a conflict between the two families prior to the pheras.
The bride and her father Vijay Kumar claim that they were asked for Rs 5 lakh in dowry by the groom’s family. But the groom’s family started fighting when Vijay Kumar said he was unable to pay them money.
They allegedly also attacked the bride’s family, hurting Deepak and Dharmendra, the girl’s maternal uncles, and ransacked the mandap.
However, the groom’s father Mani Ram claimed in a phone conversation with Dainik Bhaskar that the baraatis’ tardiness was caused by their singing and dancing. They argued with the bride’s relatives as a result. The bride’s brother then summoned some residents of the village of Puthi Mangal and attacked them.
Mani Ram claimed that numerous members of his party were injured in the assault and are receiving medical care in the Hisar general hospital.
Police arrived at the scene in the meantime after learning about the dowry demand. However, there hasn’t been a formal complaint made about the situation. After receiving a written complaint, police will take additional action, according to Krishna Kumar, the station’s in charge.
