Popular Nollywood performer Saheed Balogun has organized a group of Nollywood actors, entertainers, and filmmakers under the banner of the Progressive Coalition of Entertainers to mobilize support for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.
In order to express their support for the APC in the next elections, the Yoruba faction of Nollywood paid Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, a courtesy call.
The group had been met by Obasa, who thanked them for their regular support and urged them to continue supporting the party and the party’s candidate.

“Our task is to involve people, enlighten them and make them see reasons why they should continue to support APC.
“We know the group has always supported the party and we want them to continue.”
Saheed Balogun while speaking during the visit also stated why he feels Tinubu is the right candidate to become the president of Nigeria.
“We see Tinubu as one who has done a lot to qualify as the next president of Nigeria and we hope to continue to release the presidential candidate’s achievements.
“Asiwaju has done well and it is time to pay back. Every successive government continues to build on his foundation.”
This group is not the first set of Nollywood actors and filmmakers endorsing Tinubu and the APC for the forthcoming election.
