With seven goals in his first nine appearances at the Nou Camp, the 34-year-old has had a strong start.

Lewandowski, though, was unable to have an influence last night against his old team because of a stunning miss in the 18th minute that set the tone for a bad evening.

Lewandowski’s only comment to reporters after the game was, “It wasn’t that easy,” according to Bild. He then quickly left the stadium.

Recall that Kante was offered a two-year contract by Chelsea with an option to extend it by one more year, but the French midfielder declined the offer because the previous management was prepared to give him a three-year agreement with an extension clause at the end of the third season.

The new owners are quite concerned about N’golo Kante’s injury problems, but a final decision has not been made, and Kante may receive a better offer or become a free agency in the summer of 2019.
