Jimmy Odukoya, the son of Nollywood actor and late pastor Bimbo Odukoya, has turned to Instagram to celebrate a success in his career with mixed feelings amidst the loss of his stepmother Nomthi.
Jimmy will star with American actress and producer Viola Davis and Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo in the film ‘Woman King,’ according to a post on his Facebook page.
In an emotional message, Jimmy Odukoya expressed his dissatisfaction with the timing of his newest triumph, but believes that God has a way of continuing to shed a light even in the darkest of circumstances.

Jimmy noted that he is truly humbled and honoured to star alongside iconic actor Viola Davis and other amazing casts.

The founder and senior pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, has said he will not question God’s will, in reaction to the death of his wife, Nomthi.
The death of Nomthi was revealed on Tuesday.
According to a statement released by the church, she had been battling cancer for two years.
Pastor Taiwo wrote on his Instagram page that he loved Nomthi with all his heart and that he couldn’t oppose God’s will.
“It is with great sadness that I must inform you of the demise of my wife, Pastor Nomthi Odukoya.
She stood on the Word of God, and she fought. She gave me 11 beautiful years of marriage and two wonderful boys, who I know will be very significant in life.
“I loved her with all my heart, but who am I to fight with the will of God.
“The truth is, at one point in our lives, we all will have to say goodbye. So for now, till we meet again in glory, Goodbye Nomthi,” he wrote.
