Speaking about how she and her husband met, Mercy Johnson Okojie said:
He came to look for me in a salon. We first met on a flight, I was already popular at the time. He walked up to me. The most fascinating thing about my husband is he has guts. So he walks up to me and talks, I don’t listen. The next time we met, he walked up to me and said aren’t you going to cook for me? I said “my name is Mercy Johnson”, he said “I know. Aren’t you going to cook for me?” Then we went on a date and now, 4 kids. 5th one loading.
Speaking about one thing he said when he was toasting her that she has still not seen till today, Mercy Johnson Okojie said:
Since the very first day I met my husband, he’s always told me he’s a great cook. 14 years down the line, I’ve never tasted anything he made. He used it to chike the babe! [laughs].
