Damilola Adegbite, a multi-award-winning Nigerian actress, is pleading with couples who have been married for more than five years to share their secrets.
Adegbite believes that enough stories of unsuccessful marriages have been told, and that young people need to be encouraged by examples of good marriages.
The divorced mother of one used her verified Instagram page to make her pleas. “I don’t think we hear about happy marriages nearly enough.” Marriages that have withstood the test of time. Damilola Adegbite a few years ago found love in her fellow actor, Chris Attoh, on the set of Tinsel.
Then, Adegbite believed she had found her own fairy-tale. Both stars married in 2014, and their son, Brian, was born a month later.
They married on February 14, 2015, at the La Villa Boutique Hotel in Accra, Ghana, in a private ceremony.
Three years into their marriage, the actress’s perfect haven came crashing down, and the story went viral.
After months of conjecture and denials, Attoh eventually revealed that his marriage to the Nollywood actress had ended in September 2017.
Bettie Jennifer, an American, was shot and killed by Attoh in May 2019.
The U.S. police officials later revealed that the deceased was married to two different men, one of whom is a convicted Baltimore drug lord.
While on her part, Damilola Adegbite is still single and haven’t been seen with another man since her marriage crash.
