Ahead of their English Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium against Manchester United, Arsenal has made their first January signing official. Leandro Trossard was acquired by the Gunners from Brighton of the Premier League.

The Belgian international was reportedly purchased by Arsenal for a reported £21 million fee plus $5 million in add-ons. He should be available for Sunday’s match against Manchester United.

In order to officially announce the acquisition of Trossard from Brighton, Arsenal posted a statement on their website.

Leandro Trossard, a Belgian international, joined us on a long-term deal from Brighton & Hove Albion, the team said.

The 28-year-old winger has played 24 times for his country and was recently a member of the Belgium team at the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

“It is wonderful work from everyone at the club to complete the signing of Leandro,” manager Mikel Arteta continued. He is a multifaceted player with superior technical ability, intelligence, and a ton of Premier League and international experience.
