When the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Ademola Adeleke was declared the victor of the Osun election on Saturday, July 16, the Adeleke family rejoiced. Leading politicians met in their own situation room to track the election results, including former Senate President Bukola Saraki, Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, and Davido’s family, led by his father Adedeji Adeleke.
As soon as Ademola was named the winner, his first action was to prostrate before his elder brother, who had stood by him all the way in his bid to be the governor of their home state.

Despite losing his voice, he could still be heard shouting ‘Imole’ meaning light which is the political slogan of his uncle.
